"Your connection is not private" Smoothwall Chrome Issue

If you receive this error, follow the steps to resolve.

2. Click download certificate

2a. If Chrome warns you about the file, just press keep, this file is safe

3.Go to Chrome menu >> then Settings >> search for cert >> Click Security

4. Click Manage Certificates

5. Select the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab >> then click import

6.Click through the wizard by clicking next, when asked for the file, click browse and select the cert file you downloaded in step 2. Once that file is selected, proceed to end of wizard by clicking next.

7. It should say import successful, you can click close then close out Chrome (chrome likes to stay open in the background so either reboot your computer or find the chrome icon in your system tray (that's next to your clock) and click the up arrow to expand all icons in your system tray. If you see the chrome icon , right click and select exit.

7a. The cert changes will not take place until the browser is restarted.

8. Once chrome has been shutdown, please start it back up and test your site.
